Mellow - Alex has a MY01......so no rubbing with 225's

*(sound of Mellow going "oh, bugger")*

Alex
No experience of F1's, but just replaced the Rossos (YUK) on Carolyn's car with Toyos. Spent five days in the passenger seat of Pete Croney's car which fitted with these at the Network Q and VERY impressed.

Also, I rate the S03 very highly on the MY01 (got em on mine)

Question

Anyone tried this set-up... I'll be replacing my PZero Rossos after Xmas... Was toying with S02/03 dependant on availability... but have a heard a lot of good things about the Goodyear F1s (and they're cheaper)...

Any comments?

Cheers, Alex

Cool

Hi Alex,
Just had the same dilema, Gooodyear/SO2/SO3/Toyo and eventually decided to replace my PZero's with Toyo's mainly due to the good reports most people give them on here.

Depending on how hard you push your car when cornering any tyre other than a Pireli of a size 225, WILL....I repeat...WILL catch your arches !!!!
I know....I've tried thm all....F1's....SO3's....SO2's....Yoko's and have now had to go down to a 215 to eliminate the problem !

Red face

Doh, sorry meant to mention I had a MY'01 WRX with these on..

Hmm.. so some people do rate the GY F1s... and of course the Toyos and S03... Might give the F1s a go then, if they do the right size... I'll let you know what I do after Xmas and what I find out...

As for how hard I've pushed the MY'01, 7K on the tyres, reckon another 2K max, and I'm getting my disks n pads replaced tomorrow after 15K.. doh!
