After seeing the shinanigans going on at PassionForm at the moment it made me realise how well run this BB is

It has a perfect model of free to the people who make it what it is, yet self financing from advertising etc. I assume and as demonstrated elsewhere not an easy task to achieve.

to cut a long story short.....

New board, replaces RSOCBB which closes
Everyone joins, all's honkey dorey
Too many people start to use it
Turns into RSOCBB part 2
Guy who runs it throws dummy out of pram
Everyone says bring it back, I can't go on LOL!
They bring it back and ask for £20 each towards costs
The in-crowd all say yes I'll pay
The out-crowd all say "**** off" what do I get for my money

etc etc etc....

worth reading a couple of the threads on there its an all-out war

surely if the RSOCBB is getting overwhelmed then they should only allow members who pay to be in the club anyway...

No because a BB is only as successful as the people who use it, hence only a small minority of people who are members of the RSOC would use the BB, hence it would be a dull place to be!

Advertisers would not be keen to advertise due to low throughput, Scoobynet is spot on and is a credit to those who manage it

its just easy to forget that we use this site for free to organise meets, techy info, a laugh and after seeing whats been going on elsewhere thought I'd mention it
