Yeah, they would do no harm, thats for sure.

There is a group buy for both these products in the "Interior" section. I've just put my name down for a Knocklink for my MY99 STI Type-R. The Knocklink detects pre-detonation and warns you with a series of LED's. I'm not 100% sure what the Lambdalink does, obviously to do with the exhaust gas output (running rich/lean???). Unfortunately both interior boxes are dog ugly. There are some threads that show you how to build your own warning systems using about £10 worth of LED's. Does involve drilling your dash though.

Hope this helps,

Craig.

Lambo7,

I've no idea yet, I've only put myself on the group buy thread recently. If you do a search for "Knocklink" or "Lambdalink", you will find loads of info on them. The general concensus is that they are a doddle to fit.

Both are easy to install

Knocklink consists of a sensor that bolts to the engine block under the intercooler (i did mine in ten minutes without removing the intercooler) then its connecting the wires to a Switched Live & and Earth (Cigarette lighter is where mine is)

Lambdalink (think its the same as an AFR which is what I got instead) again Switched Live, and Earth, although the Earth on mine is almost directly to the battery, as the better the earth the better) and then a wire to the Lambda Wire on the ECU, this does vary slightly from model to model, but again is very easy

THen Finally mount your new modules with heavy duty velcro
