Getting frustrated

Hi Guys/Gals
Currently having to drive my GX arround (BugEye) while waiting for my 03WRX, damn thing wont go passed 138 on the clock
Never realised 6 weeks would be so long, mine was ordered on the 1st of march. (Pulleyns)
Whats your experience on delivery times, better or worse than quoted?
Oh and this is a company car
Here was my wish list:
03WRX
PPP kit
Prodrive rear wing
6 CD
18" Wheels
Heres what i think im getting: (they wont tell me)
03WRX
PPP kit
Prodrive rear wing
6 CD
Heres what i'll probably end up with:
Justy 1.3
Anyways, when i get the car i may come a few meets
I live in the garforth/aberford area, you may have seen me driving (dark blue, WRX wing, mud coated) (yes thats me you see in the GX sideways )

My WRX MY03 took 2 weeks to be delivered, although I waited 3 weeks in total due to the fact I wanted to pick it up on the 1st March.
With yours I suppose having the PPP fitted would extend delivery time by a bit, but 6 weeks seems excessive. However, at the time I ordered mine the general feeling was that the origional shipment and therefore availability of the new WRX would thin out around the begining of March due to the massive interest and orders. I'm assuming, if you ordered on the 1st of March and you ordered in WR Blue (most popular colour BTW) then you may have fallen foul of the scenario I've just mentioned.

Tim, Thanks for the reply
Yes its WR Blue, dont like silver cars (available) as they are just 'shinny grey' to me , also the new Black did interest me but i couldnt see it in the flesh so i wasnt going to take a chance.
I would have had the Dark blue again if it was available, but for some reason they dropped it.
Lets just hope its not the same crew bringing the cars through the channel as the BM's

Chris,
GX gets to 125 quite comfortably, just has to creep up from there (in fact i have to lift slightly to get it to creep up there)
Only ever done it 3 times, im not a car destroyer.
Simon
PS, off to work out gearing of WRX @ 7000

Tim,
Did you choose to have silver?
Im not totally abord by silver but i do think the value of silver cars will not be good in 3yrs or so, as there are so many Yr01/02/03 cars that are now silver (all manufacturers)

To an extent I agree with you. However, silver will always remain a classic colour and I think it suits the lines of the new WRX. Premium Silver from Subaru is in my opinion one of the nicer shades of silver.
Like you my decision was somewhat forced due to the fact that Subaru in their wisdom dropped the dark blue mica from the WRX range. Again, like you I hadn't seen the car in black and now that I have I think it doesn't show the subtle lines of the new WRX very well. Red & White for that matter - well what can I say that's positive about them, that forest type green... nice but haven't seen the WRX in it (green is an unlucky colour. Now onto WR Blue, I think it suits the new WRX and Subaru as a manufacturer, but, and I mean this with all due respect (again, it's only my opinion), whenever I see it on a WRX I see it as a wanna be STI.

Tim,
Pretty much the same sentiment from me about the WR Blue, here is my rational for choosing it:
1 - Red - Reject as im over the age of 18
2 - White - Reject as in under the age of 50
3 - Green - Reject as its the colour green
4 - Sliver - Reject (see previous 'Shinny grey' comment )
5 - Black - Reject as couldnt see an example (and worth 7 in police snooker)
6 - WR Blue - Accept as only choice remaining
