Well it had to happen.....Wednesday Morning at about 3:15am
five ******* tried to break into my house for the car keys...luckily enough (for them !)they made too much noise and with the nextdoor neighbour getting a look at them as they made off.....

Anyway the local officer came round (took details etc.) and during the conversation he mentioned that the police have a computerised information network called "CRIME EYE"(may be local ,may be national!!)
This is an information database that you can be voluntarily placed upon (when you've been victimised as part of a crime)
where reg details etc can be placed and where you can have requests that if the car is seen on a night then it will be stopped.(it works even better if you could have a unique identifying ITEM thats relatively easy to spot or find with location info stored on the data base, remember numbers can be copied ,a certain item placed in a certain spot well that makes it a lot harder for thieves)
This can help two ways namely if the said ******* try and clone your reg details on another car then they get stopped, if they have nicked yours (and your still too much in a drunk coma and don't know the cars gone !!) then they get stopped...

Either way they get stopped, as for me getting stopped whats a minute of inconvenience as opposed to days without a car...No contest .!!!

For further info this took place in leeds and apparently last month 15 cars were stolen in similar ways to this...only 3 being recovered by tracker...
