had a round of golf 2day and sure 3 blokes in a new silver golf were watching me when i got back 2 the motor, soon as i unlocked they left the car park, looked shifty and up2 something 2 me, sure they werent behind me on the way back, could they of used a scaner??? maybe its be being an untusting bas***d. Possibly, I would be inclined to take leads off coil pack, only takes a sec to put em on in the morning.

Hope it doesnt 'kick off' for you.

You can set the sigma alarm to ignore the remote that you used, it is mentioned in the Manual, decode the two keyfobs and then reprogram it to accept only your spare, or a more short term fix is to setup your superlock until you are happy that a sufficient space of time has elapsed that these guys will not be back.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, most modern CAT1 alarms have Anti-Code Grabbing Technology.

I thought they were 'rolling codes' that the cat1 uses.

The only reason I suggested removing leads is that I dont know anything about the latest generation scanners...can they grab rolling codes, probably not as the idea is that the alarm unit generates another code the next time the unit is activated.

I think

rolling codes can't be grabbed

they change evrytime you press the remote key so even if they grab a code when u arm/disarm the alarm it won't work when they try and use it.

rb5ray - no, no lol

Just that I had some 19" wheels nicked off my scoob a months back and they ended up on a silver Golf. It wasnt a million miles away from where you are and the guy who owns the golf works not that far away from you (judging by your profile thingy on the left, anyway ). Just thought that, you know, ya never know.... (and I had his address, reg etc... so you could have paid him a visit if anything had happened.. )

BTW, police didnt want to know so I regularly see him driving past my house with my wheels on his golf....

I would love to burn their house down/hire a pro/nick them back, but they already accused me of harrassment when it was being (rather pathetically) investigated. What pissed me off loads was that they chucked the car on breeze blocks which did nigh on a grands worth of damage to the sills. There was no point in claiming due to an exorbitant (sp?) excess - well, there was a point (19s=££££, just bought 2 new tyres at £400, + the £900+ for the sills, plus I had just had them refurbed for nearly £300) but my already high insurance would have gone into orbit.

And yes, they did have locking nuts on but I wont be buying those ones again....

I'm gonna have to think of something cunning...or at least get a good alibi!

sugar in petrol, he'll sell you the wheels back cheap then as he won't be needing them Saw the same thing once back home, some dicks stole a guy's XR2 wheels then had the ***** to come back next day with another set an sell them to him, just swapped them over and gained better wheels and 150quid. Police were useless in that instance as proof of ownership of the wheels could not be proven.

Cammy
