I am just about to sell my old car and am looking into buying an Impreza Turbo (dont want an import as i cant afford the insurance).
I have about 10-12 grand to spend.
Questions are:
- How long does turbo last before it will need replacing?
- How many miles before the engine will need a full re-build and
how much will it cost?
- Is it sensible to do engine modifications on a high miler without
first doing a rebuild?

Thanks in advance.

If you spend 12k you may get a MY00 euro import.

If its looked after and serviced properly, you wont get any problems at all.

agree with image doctor - although an my00 might be a bit more expensive - my99 would be okay though...
