Tyre size
Hi guys I was wondering if anyone can help as I'm getting mixed answers.
I'm looking to fit toyo r888r tyres to my car gf8 wheels are 17 x 7.5 with et 45
Dono if I can run a 225 45 17 tyre without issues or would I be safer with a 215 45 17 tyre.

Not sure on sizes but do not go anywhere on a damp road with those tyres !! Took a drive to Cornwall once and it was raining , the most terrifying journey of my life , no grip and tram lining like you wouldn’t believe. Unless it’s a track car or only driven when it’s middle of summer or dry roads I would t go near them ….. bloody things lol

Just see how much clearance you have on your shock , it’s only 5 mm max each side so should be ok , vredestien ultrac are a very good grippy brand and not too much , other possible sizes would be a 40 profile , your speedo will be more accurate with a 225/45/17 as the tyres bigger and all speedos under read any way 👍 Toyo are they not track tyres as mentioned above ?

The car will only be used in the summer, no wet use and odd track days.

Compare the current clearances with the new combo using Scoobynets very own tyre/rim clearance calculator......
