Default tyre size

anyone know the correct tyre size for a uk 2002 wrx? mine has 225/45/17 and 215/45/17.
any help appreciated.

I think the WRX standard is 215/45/17. You should def not be running 2 different tyre sizes as it will cause problems with the Diff.

Others with more knowledge will explain it in a lot more detail.

you should have 215's fitted all round mate.

as stated, running different sized tyres around the car will ultimately cause quite serious damage to the diffs and transmission as the wheels will be rotating at a slightly different rate to one another.

on 4x4's this is referred to as "transmission wind-up"
