Default KNOCK KNOCK

Hi guyz hope all well
just joined the forum

i have a Subaru impreza classic hatchbak GF8 1997 year Natural aspirated rebuilt engine @130k km currently at 142000
i do have some mechanical background but i would appriciate some inputs.

i have some problem whereby when i turn on my car in the morning it is super but after a few mins the KNOCK sensor CEL code 22 comes up ..

i have seen previous threads where by people have the CEL on cold start and goes away after reaching operating temperature .

any help will kindly be appriciated

cheers

who’s there ( knock knock ) 👍😂 well welcome , if the sensors are cheap is it worth not just changing it and see if the issue goes away 👍 does it go away as it warms up , i drive an astra at work , knock cel comes up when oil is not full , even if it above minimum , i top it up it goes off 👍

i maybe wrong but sounds like the sensor is the issue , if water on it is turning it off sounds like it’s broken
