hmm, i wonder if the hub has to come off to change the studs? If yes, then you might as well change the bearings etc etc as well... Sounds like a ginormous job (assuming the studs can't be changed in situ) for some spacers
Place I bought spacers from said I don't need new studs for 5mm spacers. Anymore than that, they said I would. Let's hope that's right, can't e bothered fitting new studs I will sell the brakes instead.

what i found You need at least 10mm tread left on studs, with 5mm spacer You will get 6.5mm to 8.8mm depends from wheel design
spacer should be hubcentric to

Just fitted some 12mm longer studs to my 5x100 hubs, fronts were easy and rears only needed 1 handbrake shoe removing to make enough space to put longer studs in, if the studs are much longer than 12mm extra you may struggle without removing rear hub, the rear studs can also be passed through abs sensor hole if you can remove it without breaking it.

sorry didn't take any pictures, if you look on YouTube there are a few videos showing how to do it. If you have brembo calipers and they haven't been removed for years, be aware that the threads for the mounting bolts can be pulled out, requiring the calipers to be helicoiled or time serted, so don't do it on a sunday afternoon if you need to use the car on Monday

Oh nice, didn't realise you could do the rears without disassembling the whole lot - good info, thank you! :-)
