I'm just after some opinions on this car, does anyone know of it ? I'm not as clued up as a lot are on here with scoobies esp with mods, 2 things niggle me a bit, how much paint it's had and the price, the money looks on the strong side for an 08 Sti Hatch even with the mods, as i say im not an expert on scooby prices and i don't know much about the kind of mods the car as had, i just thought it may have been fully forged and a closed deck given the kind of power it's producing based on what i've read about this 2.5 engine, and how brittle it seems to be esp when it's been modded.

What questions would you be asking ? Is it a good build, will it be reliable, any info or opinions will be appreciated.

The one thing that jumps out is its on 1.5mm head gaskets & only done under 2k miles since changed. 2.5's don't last very long on 1.5mm gaskets, especially on raised boost levels.

Regarding the paint work, personally if it’s a good job and it’s not because of crash damage I wouldn’t be bothered. He’s spent an awful lot on that car which says to me its cared for and the owner has freshened up the paintwork because of stone chips etc...

Thanks Motors, those are the sort of things i'm looking for as i don't fully understand builds of this level, what should and shouldn't be done etc.

overpirced, mapped by a cowboy and duck me is it laggy. Not sure why two builds builds either.

Nice enough car, but strong money given its just a rebuilt hatch.

I'm someone that listens to other peoples advice that know more than me about something, ive already told the seller that i'm withdrawing my interest and wished them luck. I'll just be patient and wait for the right car, thanks for all the advice above
