If the ca's been damaged I would have it inspected. It's only a fair price if its a straight car. Thats difficult to tell from 3 photographs.

It's had a few mods......OK WRC are no more but if you are happy buying a modded car and can take the problems that come with that then the price looks fair for what appears to have been done

cheers mate i must admit i will always opt for a modified car over standard - just wanted to check the price on it wasn't massively inflated.

thanx for all your help guys.

i would not buy any car that has has any work carried out especialy if it has been in a bump and done outside of any insurance claims as you will have no real idea on how bad it was other than the sellers word, (not saying they are bulls!ting) but better be safe than sorry. there are soo many imprezas for sale i would keep looking mate but i have been stung before and would never take that chance again.

best of luck

Thanx for the advice mate.

Just spoken to the owner and he said it was just when the car was reversed into a post in a car park - nothing major at all..... he has a recent HPi certificate which is all clear.

ok cool i am not sayin gthis guy is lying or scaming here it is quite possible that he is being 100% honest, it is just i have had it happen to me and after later inspection i have bought a dog of a car and i would never buy anything that is claimed it was a small knock etc as there a soo many out there that have not.

a hpi will only show up insurance claims as there is a log, now if it has been rear ended and repaired at a local garage outside it will not show as far as i am aware (i may be wrong) if i were you i would run one myself to be sure and still if it were me i would not buy it but hold out although it is your choice and if you are happy ignore me and i hope it all works out, it looks a great car and a nice spec so i am sure you will be happy

thanx bud.

my mate works at a car dealership so will be checking it out thoroughly before purchase.

he certainly seems genuine, i mean as its not recorded he didn't have to actually mention it at all really...

thanx mate - they are nice but all got more mileage (10k), plus less bodystyling.

and less mods.

the only one i like out of those 3 is the last one @ £8,200

but i do see what you mean - surely its not much overpriced though, if at all?

yes true, but 10k mileage does not put 1k on the price (i,m sure if im speaking bollox a car dealer will tell me)

plus you should not pay more for mods or bodystyling -- in fact I think it de-values a car but horses for courses

but if you really really like it -- then hey its your money, and who am I to tell you how to spend it, and it seems a few people on here seem to think its good value

but never offer the asking price -- first off, its amazing how much a fistfull of cash and persuade people to sell for less
