100-200 kmph times
Hi everyone was wondering what kind of 100-200 kmph times everyone is getting would be helpful if you say what the car is with what mod and aproximate bhp and also how you have measured the 100-200 (dragy, vbox record speedo then time it etc)
I have a blobeye sti with around 400 ish bhp (gtx2971r, fmic, rcm intake, decat and a few other things.
My verfied draggy 100-200 kmph time is about 10.8 seconds incline -0.5.
Really just want to see how I stack up agaisnt other subarus and if my time is ok.
Thanks

I tried once last year with my classic Type R, 2.1 stroker with avcs heads and a Spec C 6 speed, MD321T. 100-200 9.38s measured with Dragy, 4th and 5th. Quite a slow shift to 5th, still not 100% natural shifting a rhd car in a lhd country, 100-150 was 3.17s so there's some potential to improve the 100-200 time. Various issues with the car so I haven't been able to get more than roughly 360 bhp on 98 octane (310-315 hp at the hubs).
Have a look at the leaderboard in the dragy app, there are some Subarus there.
To be honest I don't care that much about the acceleration figures, it's not the best car for that. It would be faster in this interval with a Hawkeye 6 speed as well, should make 200 km/h in 4th I think.

If your car is a UK version it has the longer 5th and 6th right? That would explain it, the JDM gearing is shorter in 5th and 6th so the revs don't drop as much.
I don't have any experience of newage cars but perhaps I would expect a slightly better time for a true 400 bhp? But it depends on the weight, gearing and aerodynamics too. With the long 5th you may drop out of the power band slightly.
As a comparison, 13 years ago I had a Saab 900 turbo, with the 325 hp it made 100-200 in 10.8s, later with 421 hp on E85 it managed 100-200 in 9.4s (100-150 in 3.7s so this is where the Subaru shines, long 3rd gear on the Saab 170-180 ish). These were Racelogic times though.

As for the revs they dont seem to drop a great deal changing to 5th the revs drop to around 5500 or there abouts I wasnt really looking ill look closer next time.

Haven’t timed anything but noticed my car was faster in 5th than in 4th???
My mapper found out that the NPS was engaging under full boost but only in 3rd and 4th so retarding itself and slowing it down. Told me it was quite common in the Impreza

updated time but had a passenger probably a bit of a better time in there with some weight reduction and a better driver but I am greedy so still feel like the time should be better any thoughts?
