Ok that's, roughly what I had in mind. Running a VF35 on my hawkeye but she will struggle to make 330. Just contemplating my options moving forward.

Mapped a stock engined 2 litre STi8 recently that made in excess of 370bhp on Vpower and over 410bhp on a meth mix using a ported VF43.

VF35 on the 2.5 engine isn't as good as the 2.0 for BHP figures. I've not seen many getting 360 on a VF35 unless ported.

Good result on the 2.0 motor mate. Don't think that be possible on the 2.5.. What torque figures did you achieve?

Good luck mate. I've just had a forged motor put in and will look to push it in the next 6 months to the 400bhp mark. Will need a new FMIC, Turbo and uprated clutch beforehand though.

But your never happy with what you got, Always looking for more unfortunatly!!!

I like the way my VF43 performs on the 2.5, but I really need to get it forged before I think of anymore engine mods, Was thinking getting it forged, new clutch and re-mapped again, and see if I can push the VF43 to as close to 400bhp, should make the perfect road car!!!

Can the VF43 be ported like the VF35???? Did this to my old car with ported headers and upipe and noticed a difference in how quick the turbo spooled up,

I think a forged and mapped 2.5 is hard to beat as a fast road car. It just has power everywhere in the rev range. I also think tuned to 400 ish would make it a perfect street car.

Just thinking once my car is forged would I get slightly more torque???

Yup mines forged and pinned. You will not get more torque by forging but you will be able to mod further for more power and torque.

Mine is quite standard apart from the forged pinned lump, K&N panel filter ,3 port boost solinoid, japspeed exhaust with 100 cell sport cat and ecutek racerom. Not really sure about true power as i've not had her on the rollers but im running 1.65 bar of boost on the vf43.
I'm now starting to consider a 20% meth map. just weighing up the pro's and cons.

Just for a bit of reference peeps, Martyn did get the vf43 to this on straight v power but he said the map was too lean especially as I do a lot of hard track use with the car.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Thats some good power on a VF43, id be happy with 390bhp!!

Think I might port the VF43 and port the headers when I need a little more power, Cost nothing apart from your time and obviously get it re-mapped(when ive forged it)!!!
