What bhp?
Hi
Can any one tell me the true bhp of a 2002 jdm wrx (not sti) with out getting a r/r test
Iam getting alsorts of figuers from diffrent people.
I just want to get a proper figuer before i start modding it (full de-cat next week)

250 bhp as standard on jap fuel. That said, when I ran mine I had it remapped for 97ron and it was still around 250bhp. They appear to be quite rare - most JDM's are STi varients.

what bhp
how do you know of its a jdm,i recently bought a import 2001 wrx,and was told buy the seller it was a 250bhp model how can i tell without rolling road,i have recently fitted a full decat turbo back pipe and green filter,so what will the bhp be now

BEWARE, the 250bhp for the JDM WRX is to quoted using Japanese test correction factors (for temperature/air pressure etc), if you take the same physical results and apply the EU (DIN) or US (SAE) corrections you will end up at about 225bhp, strangely enough what the UK WRX makes!

You will of course be familar with the differences between JAE, SAE and DIN test standards (or did you not even know they existed?), not to mention the revisions to the SAE standards last year that saw many cars 'loose' about 10% on quoted power with Japanese manufacturers cars being hardest hit then blue angel?
