Went to look at a MY 97 Scoob today. Had 17" Prodrive wheels, Blue leather interior(rest of interior standard) and seemed lower than usual - not by much. Also had a very small Prodrive badge below the turbo sticker on the boot? Any ideas. Guy selling it asked me what Prodrive was?? Just wonder if PPP maybe fitted. Exhaust standard twinpipe though. Any info??

If it had a PPP fitted it would/should have a single pipe with prodrive stamped on it.
The best way to check is have a look at the air filter, on that age of car it should have a Ram Air replacment filter (99-00 had ITG)
Also if he doesnt mind have a look at the ECU which is in the pasanger foot well, pull the carpet back and remove the cover (3 10mm bolts i think)If its a ProDrive ECU it will be light grey with STi writen on it.
Hope this helps

Has this gadge had it from new or is it a dealer. If he's owned it from new the chances are he would remember blowing the best part of 2k on a few bits and pieces.

From a dealer m8 & he has'nt a clue. Usually sells BMW & Merc.
Full history & I mean full. Every stamp in the book from a well known Scoob garage that should be there + MOT's etc. Just strange having the leather & wheels but not the rest.

PPP does NOT replace air filter as standard, although dealer might if you paid him

Look for blue hoses stamped with Prodrive near the i/cooler.

Salsa-king does Prodrive stickers

PTMW It seems were both right and both wrong
Pre 98 models had "new rear silencer, Ram Air filter,ECU and uprated Mintex pads"
But pre 98 models didnt have the uprated intercooler hoses.
I cant find any mention about 99-00 turbos having replacement air filters so I bet you are right but pre 98 which he is buying did have Ram Air filters fitted bt ProDrive and no Blue intercooler hose
