Default Decent Battery recommendations

Hi all,

Can anyone suggest a good reliable main battery. I have a Varta one that's about 4 years old now. Doesn't seem to hold charge long, then alarm chirps on start up so I charge it up again with my Ctek charger. On my PSi3 dash mounted ECU reader, it shows the charging voltage of between 13.9 and 14.2 volts etc, so it's getting plenty of juice, just doesn't hold it for more than 4 or 5 days in the colder months.

I'd like to get one online and have it delivered, does anyone run Bosch perhaps?
2007 STi Hawk.

Found this on Ebay for £78 with free delivery :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Battery-YBX5005-Calcium-Silver-Case-SMF-SOCI-12V-550CCA-65Ah-T1-by-Yuasa/401503147192?epid=248900164&hash=item5d7b73d4b8:g: svwAAOSwfN5a-du0:rk:1f:0

Made in Japan.....I like that.
Size measures up fine, plus this one has an extra 5Ah compared to the Varta one.
Time to give the car a winter treat, thank you very much for the help guys, much appreciated.

Matt

Thanks Zany, didn't think of them.
Ordered it from ebay now. I will put a post up as to what the Yuasa one is like.

I'll give the old one to my mate so he can weigh it in lol

Thats cheap, they couldnt get close on price for a 110 battery, even with their code applied, they were £28 quid more(with code) and it wasnt a Yuasa, it was a Lion brand iirc.

I paid that for mine year before last it was a Duracell one which is due replacement in few months soon as I put these on

Good immobiliser and will also save the battery without all the messing of taking the terminals off all the time

I have run BOSCH on nearly all my Scoobs and never been let down. Apart from my own fault - leaving stuff switched on like interior lights or the side lights

I get mine from COSTCO and pay around £60 for them with the 5 year warranty.
