Default Fuel push fitting leaking

fiited a new fuel pump to my 08 hatch sti now the high pressure fitting to the pump housing is leaking how easy a fix is this

Try fitting new retainers 42037AE110

Here is a "better" description of releasing/installing the connectors from the forester manual.
When you release the connector the "retainer" remains on the pipe as per the lower lefthand drawing, which you then remove.
To install, the retainer is fitted into the connector and the connector pushed onto the pipe.

Worse case senario, the individual plastic fuel pipes on top of the tank can be replaced as there are further connectors under the other cover where they connect to the main fore/aft metal pipes.

Was a bit heavy handed with the clip i think a screwdriver might even had been involved

I left the clip on the pipe the refitted hose do you think this could be the issue

More than likely.
Hence always best to renew.

Swapped a couple of the clips about still leaking can you replace the yellow seal in the hose connector or is it full hose pipe replacement

No idea, have previously just replaced the retainers.

Looking at the pipe diagram it looks like the one highlighted in blue and includes retainers for both ends...
Not sure how accessible the two clamps marked 42037F*A will be.......

Going to try to change the seal in the connector tonight if that fails i will buy this As always cheers Don
