Default Push fit 3d Printed Fuel Filler Cap Holder - Newage Models

I've no idea why the car doesn't have one of these anyway so I've created a push fit fuel filler cap holder. Uploaded to Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2773062

It was designed for my Hawk, but I would imagine it would also fit other models / years. (Forester confimed)

Hopefully useful for someone else to!

Image before (cap dangles in the dirty wheel arch!):

Fitted:

After (no more dangling in the dirt and sh*t on the wheel arch spat ):

That’s the first time I have seen someone make something useful with a domestic 3D printer, good work

Maybe on older cars or maybe someone removed something from mine before I bought it.

In any case, this is what it looks like. The tab pushes in-between the inner and outer skins at the bottom and side.

Zany, yours went last night
Ted, Paul, shrekster, yours went this morning

Postage was more than I thought as they are classed as small packages by RM so they've gone 2nd class, but hopefully you'll have them by the end of the week.

Send me a pm with your email and I'll send you a newer version of the model than is on the thingyverse lino. Tweaked it a bit. If you can I'd use PETG to print it.

I really liked your idea in a previous thread of a surround to mount an android tablet in the dash!

That's great, I like it. My cord has snapped too so I've been jamming the cap into the fuel pump filler trigger so my car gets filled without me squeezing the trigger!
