I'm looking to get my headlights fully restored to there former glory, but not with one of those polishing restoring kits, but by someone who can completely strip the headlight and put it back together. Is this possible and does anyone know of somewhere l can get this done ?. Its a 2001 Bugeye by the way.
Rang around for new ones and nobody has any. Thats why l wanted to go down the referb route rather than buy second hand that maybe only as good as l've already got.
I'd get some used ones. Matty has only good quality items in stock. He doesn't sell rubbish.

The lights will all ‘go off’ over time, unless the cars have been garaged a huge proportion of their lives. Finding a set that are like new is near enough impossible. Same as all other makes of car these days.

I did mine , i bought via ebay a 3m polishing kit , wow what a difference and not that difficult to do , they looked brand new after ,any plastic lens will end up looking the same way , 20£ v new lights 20£ all day long for 10 to 20 mins work each side , i did mine about 2 years ago they still look fine , i did not do a massive resto job i just used a soft sanding pad and polished after , lights left in situ
