Default octane boosters

are they legit or snake oil, my nearest 99ron is 8 miles away but i have 2 garages that sell 95ron within a mile of my house, would it be ok to fill up with the 95 then add the booster or are im better going out of my way to get the 99?

The amount of octane booster you would need to make it up to 99ron would be a whole lot dearer than 8 miles. Your lucky our nearest garage is 8 miles away.

If its your daily and your not fussed about performance then get it mapped for the cheaper fuel,

otherwise use the best available to you,

Is there less money to be made by the filling station on 99 or is 95 just easier for them to get, there must be a reason why its not at most stations.

better off filling with 99 , 95 needs a lot of octane booster , 8 miles not that far any way , if you keep using 95 you risk engine damage so not worth it

Majority of folk just go for the cheapest,

The small stations will usually only stock cheap stuff,

Only really Shell & Tesco who make the good stuff here,
