Default Sooo DccD.... MPG?

So on long dull motorway drives, is it more fuel effecient to put the DCCD to rear, thus acting as a RWD car.

Or have I lost the plot and this makes no difference?

Happy to be shot down in flames.

Good question pal I'd like to know myself but guessing I don't think it would make a difference to be honest

More importantly, who cares? Lol.

You are still using 100% ofor the drive just at 30-70 instead of 50-50 or what ever it is.....

I wouldn't think it would make a difference, as said above, you're still distributing the power across all wheels.

It makes zero difference, the dccd does not make the car rwd it just distributes torque, the car is perm awd.

DCCD in open diff doesn't make it RWD.

If it did help increase mpg surely the open setting would be best to help reduce any resistance from the locking forces of the diff.

If your worried about MPG in a scooby..... Sell it and buy a diesel golf lol

Having the diff in full lock isnt recommended on the road anyway, either use auto or if oldskool just stay bottom light then up one or 2 if need be in wet.

Personally I think the scoob feels quicker in full auto. Almost as if it's a bit sleepy in anything but auto. That being said, I haven't ever used it in full lock yet.

It does makes a small almost negligible difference to the MPG when the diff is fully open on a long run.

I used to run it open on a long run, because it made the car quieter ........
