Wagon sprucing
So, have had my 03 WRX PPP wagon for 4 months now and loved every minute…..but it was missing something….nothing much, just a little tinkering.
With the rain beating down on me on Saturday morning, I set about putting on front Brembo callipers with orange stuff pads and uprated discs. Whilst I was at it I also took the liberty to bolt on a 25mm ARB and solid drop links. An obligatory oil change followed having been just over 6k since it was last down.
It took me most of the day as was the first time I’ve done this much work and I now am very familiar with the underside of the car and feel like I’ve used muscles than have been dormant for a while, but boy, was it worth it.
The handling feels so much tighter and planted with much less roll, especially on roundabouts.
The brakes are noticeably better and inspire far greater confidence.
Even an oil change seems to bring a smoothness back to the engine (although this could just be in my head).
Just a fast road set up for me and then it will be ready for the tour of the Highlands in September. No plans to fettle with the power yet…..the PPP feels good enough…..my wallet hopes that feeling will remain.
Quick thanks to those who made suggestions (Ditch) and others who took the time over the fast road geo thread earlier in the year.

He'll need the front bumper too if he does that.
I've been tempted to do it but I think you need to do the rear as well as they look a bit odd to me, so that then means rear quarters, doors and rear bumper I think, so may as well buy a complete shell and it's at least Ł2.5k unless you own or work in a bodyshop for a proper job. just not worth it to me or maybe it is.

Do it, you won't regret it.
I might change the rears to Brembo's too but in no rush and would be more for the 'look' all round.

Pictures please! I just can't make my mind up whether to do it or not, got all the bits to do it but it's bothering me what the front wheels are going to look like in the flared arches with the narrower wagon track.
Sorry for the thread hijack and nice looking wagon.

Yeah I've got whiteline drop links front and rear with poly ARB bushes and prodrive springs.
I fitted the 20mm rear ARB weekend just gone and its made a noticeable difference to the car and I'm quite happy with how neutral it is now, seems to have a nice balance.
