An RB5 is just a tarted up UKturbo. Came with fancy seats, nice paint colour and some hideous fog covers.
A prodrive RB5 will just be an RB5 that had the prodrive pathetic package installed thats all.
They also did the wr version that had the ppp package and fancy spoiler I think.

Colour, subtle body styling and wheels are the main difference. Engine, suspension, brakes, gearbox are all as per the UK turbo.
I had a 99 in turbo with a tek 2 remap. Believe me, 270bhp in a classic is still quick, I don't care what anyone says. And I have also had an sti 3 and sti 4. No major differences in the real world to be honest.
In fact, I'm actually considering selling my 05 for another mint classic.

Fairly true but you're slightly off about the fog light covers, RB5's actually have the PIAA driving light kit fitted with 120 watt bulbs which give some serious light on full beam (until the reflectors corrode..which they will ), these came with driving light covers to match.
In standard form they're tame enough alright, but add some 1000cc injectors, a bigger turbo, FMIC, aftermarket ecu, 6 speed and a few other goodies and believe me they are far from boring
