If you want it mate go for it, you could get years of fun with no major problems.
Any performance car 'might' cost you a packet throughout ownership. But you will have some great memories!!
Then when you're bored of it, you'll buy another impreza!

as said already get it its bloody nice like ull love it pal has a r34 gtr jammy git its lush and my other mate uses a r32 for drifting its nae a gtr but still bloody gid car uve had plenty of scoobys time for a change id say if it was me

They are awesome cars no doubt about that! They are dearer to run everything seems to have in the infamous skyline tax lol! Different drive to a classic impreza as they are several hundred kilos heavier, they handle well but power does come in later and performance over 60mph is great but if you like a b road blast stick with the scoob

I had a 33 gts t a couple of years back off the back of a classic.
Running costs will go up. My daily commute at the time went from (£10 a day to just under £20( this was 4 years ago when fuel was cheaper))
Mine was 330bhp and the rb25.
Insurance was a little higher. Mechanically the car never missed a beat, the sound was intoxicating and I loved the acceleration and top end. That said in the fuel crisis I went from this to a 1.3 glanza turbo and was glad I did.
They are beautiful cars but don't buy them expecting anything cheap. My 18s at the time cost nearly £8-900 at the time and this made me bail from the car rather than pay for them.
Friend has a 600bhp 33gtr. Lincoln to Cornwall if I remember correct was nearly three tanks each way.
I have another friend who has Bought one the same as me for £1500 120k plus on the clock and this is his drift toy for weekends.
I guess I'd say buy for a toy mainly. I went full circle and came back to the scoob.
Good luck and hope this helps

skylines are very fun to drive.
I had a white R33 gts 2.5 turbo with well over 300bhp it was very fast.
It was around 3 years ago I had it and as chief-long-shin mentioned the price of fuel was alot cheaper.
I would spend £80 a week in fuel for going to work and back and by the weekend I had to put more fuel in the tank.lol
To compare with my scooby I only put in £50 a week and that does me for going to work
and the weekend aswell so there is a bit of a difference in fuel consumption.
Saying that the skyline was a amazing car to drive and I had alot of fun in mine.
If you fancy one then go for it mate they are great cars to drive

im very tempted still, i may go have a second viewing this weekend, im just scared of the money aspect i dont mind spending money on cars, after all its something i enjoy doing, but i dont want it to start getting in to a vicious cycle where its off the road more than on, it will only be used as a weekend car my be once or twice in the week but thats it, i think its time for me to try something new had so many subarus now iv kind of lost the enjoyment may do me good to buy something else just to get the love back
