I believe they are.... very similar size and shape, just the Range Rover finishes. She well happy with it!! Although I believe the novelty of the GTR will last longer.............

Cheers!! Its a hobby, that I used to take quite seriously, just dont really have the time and patience anymore. Will be trying to get out with a fellow photographer for some proper shots of the evoque and hopefully some light painted shots of the GTR in the not too distant future.

While you're here - what's the best colour/type of background for photographing a white car?
The obvious answer to me is 'not a white one', but that doesn't always work!

Not sure really... interesting question, but I would guess something dull, like grey concrete, a dull red rolling door, etc. I think it might be a bit difficult to do a studio shoot like this with a white car:

What might work well, is a night time shoot, with a bit of light-painting on the car

That's the problem with white - it'd never get such a good contrast with the background like that yellow Porsche has.
I've done a few in front of my garden wall (old stone) but it's just not right.
Looks like I'll have to go and experiment

Yeah thats the main issue... Might struggle with the evoque, white bottom half, black top half

I think something like this might work well though, but darkened the background quite heavily

I really like that photo 3 triggered flashes (front of car, front wheel, rear wheel) and then a fair bit of editing. Heres the what the original looked like, before editing:

these are actually made on the 'new' freelanders chassis, which may i add is the best around, I know this as I work at Halewood. Finally got to drive one of these last week and we also took it on the off road course at work, unbelieveably capable car and one of the best ive driven out of the RR stable, suprisingly big inside as well, the 5dr is apparantly bigger inside than the freelander. Congratulations mate on a fantastic purchase and also not having to wait the current 8 months to get your hands on one

Thanks!

Awesome vehicle, but she's already moaning that it's dirty. Doubt it will see real mud for a while

8 months?

My local dealer has 3 different ones in stock, ready to sell.
All advertised at list.

the problem is when you order one from new, they will be fairly standard with hardly any extras, Cant beleive how much people are spending to spec them up, the one i was driving was 44k as well.
