I've had the Grabber AT2's and the BFG AT's on a few Land Rover's, so can give direct comparison with those. Both work well in the snow, but the Grabbers wear a lot quicker than the BFG's.. I wouldn't hesitate to get another set of BFG's - They last forever and are unstoppable when the conditions get a bit tricky.
I ended up with Michelin's on my new truck (L200) - simply as the garage offered them at a price I would have been stupid to refuse, but when they are worn, I'll be sticking a set of BFG's on.

I was going to say the Maxxis Buckshot mudders but I am having trouble finding people who sell them at a decent price, if at all.
My brother got a set of 5 of these for his Shogun Sport at the start of last year and they were about £88 a tyre. I have only found one place who are selling them now and they are £130 a tyre.
Found them excellent in the snow last year, even in 2wd. Looks like my brother is going to have to bend over as he has got 1 brand new one sitting on a spare wheel
They have worn pretty well, he has done about 8 or 9 thousand on them and they are not even half worn.

I'm using Grabber AT2's at the moment on my L200.
Coped brilliantly in the snow on the A1 coming back from Edinburgh earlier this year.
Had them on my last L200 which I used extensively off road and laning.

It's not that they're particularly bad, but these retreaded tyres don't normally have the correct speed ratings as an OE or a top branded tyre.
Just need to be checked carefully.

I find using the same back street outfit works well for getting good discounts on tyres, as once you become a regular they look after you, especially if you chuck the fitter a tenner for a drink
