Thinking of upgrading my puny Impreza Sport later this year, but don't want a standard UK turbo.
Thinking along the lines of an RB5 or a Mitsi Evo5. Anyone with experience of these cars offer any advice ?
Thanks

Both Very capable machines.....
If you are only interested in standard cars then the Evo will be quicker.
With some money the RB5 can become very very capable!
Just put an EVO IV up for sale in forum, mental car.... check the spec.

Sorry, I've no experience of Scooby's so I can't comment on them at all. I have, however, just purchased an Evo V and it is everything I'd wished for. You could most certainly do a lot worse. If you look at an Evo V, make sure the AYC ECU was not subject to the recall and, if it was, then the work has been carried out. Any Mitsu dealer should be able to help you with this, just supply the chassis number and reg number of the vehicle in question. Alternatively look for a black dot on the AYC ECU which signifies that it has been changed.
Good luck

Tons to check, just like any similar type of car really.
http://www.lancerregister.com/mlr-main.html is a good starting point.
I dived straight in and bought an Evo VI 2 days after selling my Scooby and thru sheer luck (probably) I've got a peach.
They are great cars, although a little harsher and less compromising than a Scooby for day to day use (generally - don't want to start a flame war).
If you are going to Bolney I'll gladly take you for a spin if you like.
Cheers,
Phil
