The front end is not too bad, but the back end will need quite a bit of work.
Might be worth trying to get a full re-spray done while they are at it? Maybe even a bear metal respray? They are going to have most of the car in bits anyway. There is a very good bodyshop who can do this in S.Wales. See PH for more info.

Had it a few weeks less than a year and it has already been written off, happened about a month ago.
Got the full repair report from the insurance company, bodywork alone comes to 30k

Yeh, just came over the brow of a hill and hit a monster puddle. Didn't see it or would have taken even more speed off. Had already dropped down to 60 as the rain came on, but was not heavy.
Glad I was on the way to a 2.5k service and not on the way back!

I did the same on a motorway in a F348. Was going 80 (ish) and hit huge amount of standing water on otherwise dry road. I credit the new Bridgestone S02's it was running with managing to regain control quickly. Luckily i only slid from lane 3 to lane 1 and was able to correct out of a large fish-tail before i hit anything. If it hadn't been at about 2am on an empty road it would have been an ultra fail!

I insured it so that my mates could drive it as well, only £20 admin charge for a weeks driving. So I made more than a few people very happy.
Probably won't have another though, I have 2 young kids and can't really justify having a car that steps out as easily as it did. The fact that I could have had my 4 year old in it scared me too much.
I am planning to leave it for a couple of years and then maybe have a Gallardo, 4WD making the driving experience a bit safer.
Will need to get a job first though!!!!!

I had a similar moment in my Audi S4 the other night, and caught a puddle under braking after heavy rain. The ABS tripped immediately and the car slewed only a few feet off line before it gripped again and shook itself straight.
But I was out of control for a moment, and plenty of time for the tail of the 911 I almost bought to have swing round and bitten the barrier. I guess (hope) that in a 911 I would have been travelling more cautiously, but it certainly made me think. I reckon there are some benefits to having a heavy lump in the front...

Look on the bright side I say - If you and others walked away un harmed, and insurance paid up in full. Sounds like it might have been a lucky escape and done you a favour. If your like me after a years ownership you have probably had your fun with it, and in the current economic climate even with the super rich would have struggled to sell such exotica.
Its just metal - in the meantime you now have money in the bank ready for next purchase when the time is right.!

Drive a 4wd whatever and you often drive like a right dick. Driving something Mid or rear engined and RWD makes me drive with a lot more concentration.
