Default Got another cheapo runabout

Picked this up for cheap. Seems fully loaded, more or less and everything works. Mileage checks out as genuine too.

All clean and tidy and still tight to drive.

Doesn't half shift, sound nice and go smoothly considering it's a 316i

I would take the rebadged badge off, it looks poo. Other than that, nice tidy bit of kit

I agree.

Bought it like that but don't want to hurt the paint as they seem stuck fast.

You've been robbed - someone has stolen the asthmatic 1.8 4 pot with aspirations of custard skin pulling and replaced it with a more smooth refined and relatively economical 6 pot engine - i would complain and ask for my money back!

Just what I was thinking

The drivers seat looks very worn for 86k though Nice tidy car in a very nice colour and probably very cheap Can't beat bargain motoring.

Seat's not as worn as it may appear. I drove it with some new jeans on and the blue dye transferred, making it look more worn.

Just done an 80 mile motorway trip and it gave just shy of 40mpg @ a real 71mph with the CC on. Not bad.

Paid £850 for it.

Needed a service and 2 new tyres. Got the tyres from my brother @cost and a big service for £200 @ mate's rates, inc full synth oil and the gearbox draining and sorting.

Still got the 123. The Mrs has fallen in love with the Merc and has been adopted as such.

If you really want the 123 I'll PM you when she loses interest?

She will.

Just spend £400 on the timing chain tensioning! Putting out 134.6 bhp now... woo woo.

I'll let you know.

I've fitted a full new exhaust too. It feels responsive compared to when I first bought it, if a 123 can feel that way!

I've also re-padded it on all 4 corners and put in a new air filter. 0 - 60 is half of what it was lol.

The Mrs is using it daily and attached, though. Summer will see a change - always does.

Cheers!

Always liked the sound and grunt of the 328i. Had a few in the past.

Not so quick, just smooth.

Still surprised by its fuel economy for a big 6.
