You can get a decent Fiesta W reg for a G.

Micras hold their money well, as do most jap small cars.

A Child Molster is cheap to run and almost free on parts.

Fiesta's are ok.. but at that age, exhaust, front springs snap, brake pipes corroded, front arms..

Jap everytime for me..

My sister in law has a Daewoo Matiz..It is what it is,but its not had a spanner on it for 2 years..Great little runner!

I had alto as a loan car once from my local dealers - very amusing!

However, it has almost no appeal to me. I am currently sporting a Ford Ka, 2008MY - crap engine, but it is very quirky, lively in the bends with great steering. 40 mpg and cheap as chips on the parts.

Recommended.

Another vote for the Micra. Mate of my dad has one with over 200k on the 1l motor. Only ever had tyres, brakes and exhausts and the occasional service. Works for the water board and doesn't have a van they just pay petrol per mile so bought the cheapest car possible and it has been an absolute tank, indestructable.

5t.

micra sounds good.
now that winter is creeping in it would be good to have heated seats and a heated front screen.but dont think thats possible for cheap motoring.
