Not keen on that. It should look better in the flesh, but I really don't like where Ferrari's designs are going these days.
Would take a 911 Turbo or Gallardo over a Ferrari these days.
Last pretty Ferrari was the F355.

Yeah saw this the other day. Very very nice.
Did make me chuckle though. Apparantly it's Ferrari's "Entry" level Grand Tourer.
"Entry Level" hehe. But like having an "Entry Level" palace

Something that struck me with alot of modern Ferraris is they are a hell of alot taller that they used to be....and they try and make the car look low, the waistline (as such - the line between the bottom of the windows and body) is raised quite considerably. Cusing huge doors and lardy looking rear ends and either having a huge long bonnet - or a short one and somehow fill it with a huge oversized grill.
It's a bit unfair to say its just Ferarri, as its affected every normal shopping car out there (presumably due to safety and drivers asking for more head/legroom, taller driving positions and easier access to get in/out ) - but that is excusable on a shopping car, but a Ferrari?
Whilst I say the California is far from ugly, it has the typical trends in terms of the tall waistline - where the design struggles to finish the front and rear ends off whilst trying to the keep the overall length of the car as short as possible (i.e a compromise ) making the car somewhat ungainly and cartoon-like.

Not keen on the front, the back but the front
Too expensive too, if Ferrari brought out a true "entry level" car at say 90k i think they would sell thousands of them

Indeed - the man has taste! I got an invite to go to the RM auction where that car was sold. Couldn't make it which is a shame - stunning car.
Agreed Sal - the new California is stunning (Andie and I have put our request in to Ferrari GB for a drive in the summer )
