EVO X - Considering a move to the dark side??
So went down to the mitsu garage over the weekend-
obviously they haven't got an X's in yet, but hearing about the spec, SST gearbox, and that servicing interval is up to 9/10k and available for a 3 year pack for £400! i had to follow it up with a visit to asda for new pants...
Anyone else seriously thinking about the dark side?
At £31k for the autobox version, its better value than the IX and with the massive drop in servicing costs sounds like it would be easy(ish) to live with.
plus the looks difference to the new scooby is a big bonus!
may wait to see what the EvoX hatch looks like as for £20k inc autobox sounds like a bargain.

well tbh my first thoughs were yep, get the evo, it looks way better.
however then i saw a video of it having its *** handed to it by the new sti, and i think my mind has been changed.
still think it looks liek a dog but it def seems to have the bite to match the looks

Got the preview brochure at home, and it has got me thinking about one.
Glad to see service intervals are now at 10,000 miles.
MPG fiqures look pretty shocking though.
Opions for next car however are, in Order:-
2009 Focus RS
Audi S3
996 Carerra 2 or 4
Evo X
A3 TDI (170) Sline DSG

According to the article in Evo Magazine, the SST transmission is under testing to make sure in can cope reliably with the extra power. If testing goes OK, it will be available in 330 & 360 spec cars.

James...
Er...
Ok that does look bloody good actually!
Now to the weight saving!
I had an Evo 8 for a while, a very nice one. I honestly prefer the power delivery and drive of the JDM STi more, just prefer everything else about the Evo (esp the image)
It was also a piece of **** to sell - I never want to have to sell another scoob again!
