EVO 6 TME
Been offered a MY2000 EVO 6 Tommi Makinen from Japan, details as follows
Auction Grade 4.5 in very good condition,50000Km,original apart from Blitz exhaust, but will be supplied with OE exhaust as well.
Priced at 1800000-1900000JPY includes all shipping, insurance costs, and all other costs delivered to Dublin.
What are these cars like to live with, would really only be a weekend car.Have been told by a mate whos a mechanic that I would be looking at £2K for a clutch for an EVO,would this be right?.What about SVA for this car,do model reports exist??
TIA

£2k for a clutch?? only if you were going for a triple plate or carbon clutch or something.
£400-500 will buy you a good clutch for an evo. however most will probably need a flywheel as well. allow about £200-250 for one of these.
easy enough car lived with.

You'll be pals with your local petrol station, quite a small fuel tank, PITA !

P.S. My ex-boss fried the clutch and flywheel on his Evo 7 in one launch !

Running costs are comparable to a STi in my experience - I had a VI for 4 years. If it's only a weekend car, I wouldn't worry about it. TME is probably the most desirable Evo of all, go for it!

Cheers chaps.
Cost is going to be around £9K,excludingVAT,Import Duty, etc how does this compare pricewise to what would be avalible in the UK I know theres currently one on neweraimports for £12295 with double the miles.
What should I be on the lookout for fault wise with this car?
