These are now sensible money. Anyone had any any experience of the standard 3.2? Cheers!

Base version is supposed to be quite horrible except for drug dealers.

I had the turbo for a few months. Great car. Wouldnt touch the 3.2 with Brendan's to be honest. Very basic.

My folks had a V8 on demo for the weekend before opting for a RR. They sounds fantastic and they are same money as the V6's!!!!!

I was considering a Cayenne Turbo for the Mrs but decided against it.

I'm not really too bothered by the PC brigade, but worked out the fuel / maintenance / depreciation then changed my thought process quite rapidly...

Are they not the same chassis and gear as the VW Toureg thing? (or am I thinking of something else?)

I've driven one a few times over the past few weeks (v8 turbo ). Nothing wrong with the way it goes. Handling is acceptable for a 4x4 lard bucket (not that one would want to drive it like a sports car).

But what I really didn't like was the interior. It lacked quality. The one I drove had been used for repping across the the country and it really did show. The switchgear and controls felt somewhat naff and flimsy. Not what I would expect from a car that costs so much (maybe if it was 1982 928 I'd let it off - but it isn't ).

Otherwise - barring the jelly-mold looks. Its ok. It doesn't feel anything like a Porsche in my opinion. Except for the badges.

Oh and boy did it guzzle the juice, made my Monaro seem like an ecomomical hybrid in terms of the (repeated) costs at the filling station
