Day Out With 'Used Car Buyer' Magazine - Not 56k Friendly
Today I visited Qinetiq Longcross Test Track, Chertsey. This was for a photoshoot for Used Car Buyer Magazine.
The MY02 STi won 'Best Sports Saloon' of 2004, and I was there to hold the Essex Scooby Crew Flag
Thanks to Guy, and all the crew for a great day. I got my first taste of having my car 'on a track'. Getting 5 laps in, confidance growing all the time. However with no run-off's on the track, taking things very easy was wise! Still massive fun though.
While I was there they were filing a TV show about illigal immigrants so lots of police car's and military trucks about!
The Venue was amazing, with tank testing ground, suspension testing, amphibious lake, handling course... the list goes on!
Anyway, this will appear in NOVEMBERS edition of USED CAR BUYER.
This won - 'Most Metal for Your Money' award!
Cleaned and ready!
Some of the executive brigade!
Very Kinky!
Just Incase!
Nice little Porker!
Some acting going on!
Only time you can do 121mph past a police car, when it's not a real police car!
Yep! Just actors!
Went in the mazda (below) over this at 'reasonable' speed, nearly threw me breakfast up! CHUNDERRRRRRRR!
The mazda - pretty damn quick!
Much Fun!!
The Porker stopped ok!
Getting ready for a group shot...
SMILE!
Some of the team
Wheels Turned....
Sitting Pretty!
The straight!
Had about 10-15 shots taken of me going round the track, then about another 5 close up shots. Can't wait to see the mag.
Best of all, expensis were paid.
Really enjoyed the day especially driving round the track, I definatly need some more driver training days!!
Will upload some video's soon....

Were my donut marks still at the bottom of those hills? We werent allowed on track but were all taken out by Guy in his Sti 8. To say we were airbourne over the top of those hills would be an understatement. Was a great day though and im STILL waiting for my petrol money
