BMW E90 320D - well impressed.
My buddy has just picked up a spankers BMW 320D with all the trimmings nice wheels, metallic paint blah blah.
TBH i'm not or wasn't a big fan of diesels until i drove this.
His previous car was a 1.9tdi A4 which was nice inside and economical but i felt wasn't great as a drivers car.
this however was totally different. Nice torquey shove despite only being a 2.0 great handling and comfortable and 50mpg on a run.
as a economical prestige car with a bit of oomph i was impressed
Bloody hell, god knows what the 335D is like - especially with a remap
Converted - well almost, i still like the shove of my Classic Impreza despite it only doing 18mpg

More than 100bhp more than the 2.0 so imagine a hoot to drive.
with regards to the handling you wont be dissapointed and i loved the gimmicky engine 'start' button, so well built as well.

I just took a new 330d saloon out for a short test drive yesterday. It does go well, there's no doubt about that, and it actually sounds good also if you cane it. I just can't live with how small it seems compared to my WRX wagon, but if you don't need the room it's a great little motor.

I had a test drive of the 335d saloon. It felt well built, reasonably quick, but very ordinary for the £££ outlay. The 335i was nice, but I couldn't agree a deal with the dealer and again, spec'd up it came in at £40k. Ouch.

I drove the inlaws 535d for the first time and thought "this really doesn't feel quick"
I then discovered the magic sport button and suddenly it was a very subtle car with supercar quick mid range shove and it even had a reasonable "sound track"

its cos all newbies dont know how to get the best from the 535d, i had the same problem, puting the foot hard to the floor will not get the best speed out of the 535d, its the midrange shove, u have to use the accerator with a bit more grace, u have to learn how to ride the wave of torque, once u have mastered that wave, then u will feel the 535d's glory!!

Newbie..?? Not me, I drive a Clio diesel every day so I'm used to the diesel "squeeze the throttle and keep it in the range" driving pmsl!! And don't tell me about torque and how to use it, I have a 500ft/lb+ 468ci big block V8 sat in my Chevy pick up...!!
Besides, "putting the foot hard to the floor" isn't the way to drive petrol or diesel in my book.
Besides, the 335d did definitely feel ordinary compared to the 335i. Even the sales person agreed (and the 'd' is more expensive).
All in good spirit..!
