Default Anyone know about Primeras???

Theres a guy at work whos got a Nissan Primera 2.0 TD S for sale.

It’s a 2001 X with 88k miles and FSH. Anyone know anything about these? Potential problems, common faults and the such. I was looking out for a peugeot 306 or maybe 406 but this might be a deal not to be missed

Any help really appreciated, cheers

The plus side is if you've got a large family, they'll all fit on the back seat - as with all Datsuns

primera diesels can suffer pump problems and smokey turbos, but 2l petrol is a jazzer, but if the chip fat burner is a minter and a bargain go for it

Yeah, the Cops use them a lot here, but they can be outrun by a Robbin Reliant.

Pumps and smoke, fairly standard diesel problems then. Nothing out of the ordinary, sounds good to me.

The odd cluncking noise from the front suspension..."sorry" they all do that, sir. Upper link arms I belive, no harm to handling, just annoying when driving round town.

Other than that, not much else.

They aren't that economical though. Even when new they had **** fuel economy for a diesel, 40mpg at best I've heard.
