Tested the last one, liked it, like the look of the new one more, might test it when it comes out.
Shame it's not quicker than the old one though.

I had planned on getting the new one having owned the previous model. Got bored waiting and bought a 350z but may get the CTR when its been out for a year or so.

You'd miss the torque of the 350 big time!

After the R32,I couldn't go back to a low torque engine tbh.

I've got a CTR and there's a 350z sat in the garage that my Dad never uses

Can't really compare the two, but love 'em both .

If it's damp, take the Z

I am yet to be convinced. The main worry is that they are using the same engine. Ok its a very good engine but 200bhp in that size car only makes it a warm hatch these days. 5 years ago it was very powerful but now 230 - 240 bhp would be a lot more like it. IMVHO I dont think Honda could get an extra 40bhp out of it and keep the engine as nice to drive as it is now.

I had an 02 CTR for almost 2 years. Was brilliant fun back then but I am sure a Focus ST or new LCR might be a better option.

Billy - Agreed. The new ST really is a stonker and similarly priced.

As long as you don't mind hefty fuel bills, I think it's the pick of the crop at the moment.

In between my CTR and the 350z I had an 03 WRX PPP and an 02 Golf TDI PD130. Wouldn't touch another Golf with a barge pole, totally hated it. Dull car which handled like a bag of sh!te, had it for 6 painful months.

Having said that, I have the use of an 03 Golf R32 which is quite fun.

I had a 53 reg R32 which was fun then I drove a 150PD mk4 and it was TERRIBLE!

Couldn't believe they were both almost the same car!

I had a CTR for 4 years and my views on them are well known. If you are going to go to Santa Pod and race the latest turbocharged stuff then it will probably not be the car for you. However, is 0-100mph in 14/15 seconds worth more than 0-100mph in 16 seconds plus the best manual gearbox and 4 cylinder engine in the world? For me, no. I would buy one were I not currently seduced by the fuel economy of my Civic diesel - 66mpg on the way to work yesterday
