that link foocked up my browser (when I came back here was no longer automatically signed in) half messed mcafee installed files also disabled task manager. ...

Anyone that has clicked on that link is advised on a system restore ASAP to be on the safe side ...sorted

It's not the best, it lets stuff through. As does McAfee (contrary to the SN member who works for them ). But both of which spend alot more money on advertisng..get the idea? Just be happy in the knowledge its at least better than nothing and much better than the awful free stuff or what gets bundled with certain ISP's broadband packages.

From my own experience NOD32 and Kaspersky have been the best performers. Don't take my word for it though: Go to the computing section or have a search.

Let me enlighten u a bit further..... besides norton being crap at catching viruses it also uses to many resourses.

Kaspersky is quite good but I just use a combination of mcafee and spyware doctor and that works fine for me.
