£15k what would you buy
guys had subarus for a couple of years now! love them to bits but i am thinking of a change ( i will keep mine in the garage as there is no real reasont to sell it)
i am thinking of something around the £15K mark
not really onto two seaters as i have a german shepard and need a little practicality, so s2000's etc are out but a 2+2 can be done as i had a supra.
so need something with similar performance as my subaru but after something which turns heads was thinking TVR cerbera but not the most reliable and a guy at work has a tuscan 2 and it went pop yesterday so that has really put me off
so what do you all think? mpg etc not a concern

Jensen Interceptor from Cropredy Garage, to your spec with all the reliability mods for £15K:
Cropredy Bridge Garage - Jensen Specialists
60 in under 7 secs, 100 in about 18 secs, awesome in-gear grunt & room for luggage & pets.
but you'd have to be VERY sure that mpg isn't an issue

E46 M3 is a nice safe obvious one. An Audi RS2 is rare, desirable, fooking quick, but old and negligible reliability. A bit left field is a Volvo S60R - 2.5 turbo 300hp out the box. 350hp is easy enough to find, and 500hp has been known!

E46 M3 surely the best bet, however with a new model out next year (400bhp V8), and with the E46 3series now looking a bit dated its possible values might start to slide a bit.
If you can find another £3-4k then Audi S4 4.2 V8 would be an option....

What about a Bmw 850 Csi, 5.6 ltr S70 V12 kicking out 380 Bhp plus 405 Ib ft of torque and mated to a getrag 6 speed manual gearbox. You said you are not worried about fuel, will tell you anyway approx 12mpg around town and hopefully 20mpg combined cycle. The styling is of old school Bmw so is not ugly like beemers of late.

**** the M3. E39 M5 is where it's at. I had a rental M3 for a week recently and, while I warmed to it over the week, that only meant that I went from *hate* to *don't mind*.
Whereas the M5 is just love love love!
Hell of a lot of motor for the money.
You can pick up a high miler (90k) with comms pack and, if you're lucky, a little warranty left (plus the option to renew for £1800) for 15k.
