Default Porsche 996 valuation.

My dad wants to sell his 1998 3.4 996 C4 cab manual. I have been trying to get a valuation, but I really am struggling. I have been on autotrader which seems really inconstant. Glasses guide (the free Vauxhall one) doesn't have Porsche either.

Any idea's?

I have access to the full Glass's guide and looked up the car mentioned. It does not list as old as 98 but does list 99 996 cab(man).
Condition and miles are important send me the details and I can give you the Guides valuation(pm if you want).

It is a 1998 S 996 C4 Cab manual in Oceon blue with full grey leather. Climate, CD, lowered body, 18" carrera wheels, facelift lights, sports exhaust, 45k with FPSH 12 months MOT, just serviced in very good condition [had clutch and vario cam seals done about 4 years ago but has only done about 2k since ]

Think thats most of the info you will need Cheers BTW.

Sounds like a very nice car,the Guide values it as follows;
Glass's trade value ie bottom book £27100 (dropped by £300 this month).
Glass's retail price ie top book ££32100. also dropped.
these prices are for a 99spec version with approx 35k miles, the reason that the miles are lower is that the guide assumes that a cab. will have below ave miles, The spec your car has helps a little (lowered?) the rest is good.
So to sum up, your 98 996 cab. (man) should be worth around £30k miles adjusted in in close to perfect nick. HTH.

Probably be best just looking at other similar ones for sale and price it in that region, I tend to find that things like parkers never have a true value.

Nice looking motor .
If only I had the cash spare at the moment
Always hankered after a Porsche.
Maybe one day soon .
Good luck with the sale .

You may well be best off getting a Top Marques magazine (similar to Autotrader ),to get a good idea of what its currently worth .Think its out every fortnight .
Regards
Rob.

They seem to vary quite a bit in price......

Does it have the 3 or 4 spoke steering wheel?

Does it have the sports seats with 'wings'...?

PM me if you are after a quick sale!
