Last week I returned to Impreza ownership (previously RB5 WR Sport)after a brief flirtation with Porsche (2.5l Boxster then a 2 year old 911 [996 variant - v. quick viz. 4.6 secs to 60, 10.6 to 100, but ever so slightly soulless]). Both were damn fine cars, but in the 'bang per buck' stakes they were way behind the Impreza. I now have one of the last MY00 currently with ITG air filter plus the ubiquitous Scoobysport backbox.

My questions are as follows: -

1. I have seen reference somewhere to the 'bump steer' mod. What is this? What are the benefits, cost and who can do it (Tileys in Bristol)? Sorry, I am sure this has been the subject of previous posts, but can't be 'a...d' to search.
2. I would like a new downpipe fitted at the 1000m first service. Any recommendations? I assume the warranty will be compromised for 'that part' only.

One final comment. Do not, as I did, aspire to grander (! ala Porsche)things. Believe me, they are not worth it. From day one the Imp has just made me smile. And that is what it is all about!

Can't help with the down pipe, but it's PowerStation that do the Bump Steer mod.
