MINI Cooper S ...Advice please...
i am thinking of getting a 2nd car for work and leave the scoob as a Weekend car...
was thinking of a MINI Cooper S may be with John Cooper Works 210bhp pack.
anyone had one before, can you please tell me what are they like??
Or how does it compare to a CTR ?? <--- are they any good??

The 210 version according to write ups is only marginally better than the standard car. The dsc was always cutting in on mine, and if you turn it off !!!! wheelspin is the order of the day...

Depends on what Scoob you have of course but wouldnt a Cooper Works cost as much to buy and have its resale value dented as much as a Scoob if you put tloads of miles on it, if anything you are better getting the use out of a Scoob as that will depreciate regardless of mileage more than the Mini ?
Insurace may well be cheaper but look into the fuel costs, one of the Kids friend mums has a Cooper S and is astounded by how crap it is on fuel for a 1600 !

I'd get a proper weekend car, get rid of the scoob and use the mini daily.
Unless you have a 22B, can you honestly say the scoob is a weekend car? Get an vx220/Elise, roof off motoring 35+ mpg, cheap to insure/run, better image by miles
At least we've all learn't not to buy a car off misty if he can't make a Mini interior last a year. What the hell are you doing in there? lol
