Help me choose...
Right folks..
I've got a tiny dilema at the moment.
I've seen 3 cars that i fancy to replace my current car. (Civic Vti)..all in my price range..
But unsure which to go for..but i've got to keep it for a few years, or the wife will kill me.
Choice is as follows.
1999 Impreza Wagon. 70k miles.
1999 Volvo S70R. 100k miles.
1994 BMW M3. 93k miles.
I've already owned a classic wagon before, so i know what to expect there,
but always loved M3's, and the same with the Volvo.
Anyone care to give opinions ?
Ta.
Johnny.

Depends what "image" you want to give to the world and you don't need me to tell you the "image" each of those has.
Being sensible, whichever will be cheapest if anything major should go bang.

It's kinda at the top of my Hitlist to be honest...
As much as i'd like another Impreza, i miss rwd.
And it's a cracker too..
Not an Evo though, but hey, cant complain.

From your choices, the Impreza is a bit "been there, done that" and the Volvo.... well how old are you??? I nearly bought a Volvo V40, but I came to my senses and got a Forester instead as the "Mum Bus"
The BMW is only real choice there!

No i'm no expert but what i've been told and heard if you plump for an M3 get the 286bhp version and not the EVO - apparently loads have problems with the Vanos system, the earlier version is just as fast low down and normally makes more than its stated 286bhp whilst the EVO rarely makes 321bhp just read EVO this month, i think it is in this month anyway

James, would love an E30, but really couldnt live with the LHD for everyday use.

lol...cheers Dave.
Anyway...goes as follows..
Looks like Andys not selling the scoob, the Volvo has sold..
So it leaves the M3. Just keeping my fingers crossed the Civic deal goes through.
Falkster...it aint me you`ve got to convince...

Doesn't sound like a very good way to make the right decision mate. If the others aren't available, they must have been the better options, so you need some more options....
You know what's coming next don't you.....
It just happens I know someone who might be selling a Skyline with a low mileage R34 engine, roller bearing turbos and a 6 speed getrag box. And the midnight purple would make Audrey look 5 years younger (not that she needs it of course!).

Hmm..you know i would if i had the cash Dave..
And where`s this 6spd coming from ???
There probably are others out there i could go for, but am on a limited budget...so looks like i`ll need to keep looking...
Just hard to make a choice, as i need something to keep for a good while.
Oh, and i`ll let Audrey know the deal with the looking younger thing.
