I can't find stats for the 210 - but i imagine they will be a touch slower than the 225 so my guess is:

0-60 = 6.9 sec
0-100 = 17 sec
1/4 mile - 15.2 @ 92 mph
MAX = 145 mph

Cheers

lol, No need, if we're talking subtle manufacturer type mods (on new cars), wouldn't a WRX with PPP beat that: 4.8 0-60 IIRC not sure about 0-100 though, I would think that a marginal victory to Audi. Then of course if we go to the STI PPP it's a different story

Of course, if we're talking a typically modified Classic, ie. exhaust, remap etc... in a car that only weighs 1235 kg then.......

All harmless banter, as stated, I really like the performance Audi's!

Coz 0.5 sec quicker to 60 is sooo much faster in the real world isn't it ?

Dont forget that with the audi you'll not have the worry of being constantly distracted by rattles, thus you'll be concentrating on actually driving it.....

The S3 is slower to 60 because it's got an extra gear change, it only gets to about 58mph in 2nd gear.

Yup extra gear change harms the times.

Yep your correct there, when i drove the S3 i think it only managed something like 80 maybe 85 tops in third, and when i drove my buddys standard classic that rockets from 30-35 all the way to just short of a ton on third!

LOL Yep! Agree that 0-60 isn't the best indication of real word performance. I'd go for something like 30-70 through gears, or in third. This is also where the big torque increase of the Revo conversion comes into its own. How much does it cost?

My classic doesn't squeek or rattle, which leaves me free to listen out for failing mafs, Det etc...

How many impreza drivers manage to extract the quoted 0-60 times from there cars?? Unless being brutal with the clutch i would say less than 1/2 of impreza owners can actually launch the cars.

You only need to go to santapod for evidence of this! 5 sec scoobies being beaten off the line by 7 sec cliosports....LOL

A revo S3 would be more than a match for a scooby sti!

I'd also put money on a revo LCR troubling a sti ppp once up and moving. ie 30 onwards! (not bad for a £500 remap)

Yep, but how many Clio drivers can modulate the clutch and throttle sufficiently to prevent wheelspin? At the end of the day traction AND getting bogged down is an issue with any FWD car off the line. Not so with the Scooby/Evo etc, you've just got to watch getting bogged down and that's not rocket science. You don't need to be brutal with the clutch either e.g. 5000rpm and drop the clutch (ouch). Holding the car at 3500 rpm throughout the duration of a brisk uptake of the clutch will be sufficient to see off any pesky FWD.

IME the problem is that people don't balance the throttle against the clutch well enough and fall off-boost.

But that kind of for driving is for boy racers anyway!

Guys, I'm just so relieved you can admit that there is other cars out there than Scoobs. thank you, I never said they were bad, or that S3's were great, just different.

LOL like I said, I'm a fan of performance Audi's and would like a go in a Revo'd car. Wouldn't mind a go of a MTM RS6 too!

A scooby (especially a classic) is more raw! An Revo'd Audi perhaps just as quick but i think we all agree not as involving although it wont stop me getting one

For instance a Scoob wont be as involving as a Caterham or Elise, but it does not stop people buying them in there droves.

At the end of the day i want a car thats got great midrange (so no CTR's please) so step forward a turbo car, especially when modified, four wheel drive - so it wont spit me off the side of the road like say a Cerbera or S2000,

i want quick, safe and a nice car to sit in and fairly practical, i dont pretend to be a great driver, thats why i like Scoobs and S3's i can at least go fast and get away with a damn sight more than i could with a car with knifedge handling and at the same time make me feel like M. Scumacher!
