CG Rendered MK1 & MK2 RS Escorts
Hi Guys,
I know there are some of you who have had (or still own) or have a big soft spot for the old school RS Escorts - so I hope you don't mind me posting a few shots of my 3D Models of the RS Escorts here ...
Thanks for looking
Dave
Shiny Red MK1 Mexico Works (at 1024 x 768 wallpaper size)
link
Silver MK2 RS2000
link
Hmmm ... I tried to post those as images - is that not possible ??
I created them using the 3D Studio Max software. You can see more images om my website : Commercial Posts may be locked or removed if posted in any forum. Wow, lovely pictures and a nice site. I think the wheels on both Escorts should be a little more 'old school' - the tyres are a little too low profile for me, but that's about it. Brilliant!
Just curious, do you start with a photograph, and gently massage it with the software, or with a 3d model you can twist, turn and modify?

Thanks guys - I have seen over the years that a few scoobynetters still have a soft spot for the old RSs
I've added a few more wallpapers.
And here is a Mk1 Mexico - nice and simple with Minilites, spots and a bib spoiler

Yup, Although the RS2000 never came in Silver - doesn't it just look SO right ? I really like it !
Each model takes AGES to create - I am thinking of the next model ... swithereing between an RS3100 or Escort Cosworth. Because I like them Not really thought of any others after that ..
Thanks again for the feedback.

Beautiful. Put it this way - if they were real, then the missus would have hell of a time convincing me not to spend the kitchen budget on one.
