Thought you had a GT3??
There's a nice garage down here you would like called Bramshaw's - has a collection of Ferrari / Ford GT40's / Lambo / Aston's etc
Lambo looks tastiest to me, followed by the Carrera GT they have in at £300,000 plus
Just over the road from me in fact

Current M5 will depreciate badly in a few years, it's heavy, it's big, doesn't have the looks of a "proper sports car", and probably has lots of other problems with it ...
BUT
... fact is that it will be faster than, or at least keep up with, ANY road car including all sorts of regular exotica (thus excluding extremes such as Enzos and the like), in straight line or "twisties", whilst offering classy yet "muscular" looks, ample accomodation for family / friends, plenty of boot space, comfort, 4 doors, ease of use, latest technology and active / passive safety, and a whole lot more.
To me currently it's just an unbeatable package for "realistic" money and a one-car garage.
Of course money-no-object go for a Ferrari 430 (been in one: UNBELIEVABLE even compared to a 360 Challenge) and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo for those family weekends or bad winter days ...
