to be correct, it should be 330ti... but those are still just rumours... BMW admitted that they are working on turbocharged petrol engine but thats all, no more details. and yes, it should fill the gap between 330i and M3

335 is going to be a diesel - twinturbo 3.0d

I will be very suppriesed to see a turbo petrol beemer. They have always bragged about their 100hp per litre M powered cars. I like the fact that they have n/a cars. The new 3.0 petrol is 250hp anyway so the 3.0 petrol turbo would undercut the the on going m3 at my estimate of 300hp and 300 lb/ft. And even at that, it would be reasonably brisk compared to the proposed 400hp M3.

They need to careful whatever they decide. I wait with bated breath for the unveiling of new models !

I have heard many whispers of a 3ltr turbo but nothing concrete from BMW. I read somewhere a while ago that the planned ouput would be 340 BHP and a level of performance similar to the current M3 as the new 400 BHP V8 M3 will a step further ahead.

335d should be interesting given the hype about the 535d... The 330d's not too shabby either

Nick,

Apparently the touring version is most agreeable! How's the car going? Everything good I hope!

Well, the reason the rear wash/wipe wasn't working (cleans glass, not the driver, before people think that these BMWs really do have everything) seems to be down to the body control module - replaced under warranty, thankfully!

Car is great, with just a few annoying niggles, like the front washer jets (again, for headlights...) leaking. But it's still surprisingly rapid.

Now, where's that phone number for AMD...

I bet that it will be f*cking ugly; does David Blunkett now head their design department?
